Better than being homeless

I've lived here 9 months and can not wait to move. Management is rude and unhelpful, though the desk attendants, who have no power to do anything, are wonderful. I've been warned by a long-time resident not to take the stairs because it is unsafe. The laundry is a nightmare, with a card system that eats your money and offers minimal help with problems. If you're a non-smoker, be prepared to smoke a pack or two a day via second hand smoke, and don't expect anyone to help- their fine solution was to tape the ventilation ducts shut. Parking is also a frustrating situation- they don't enforce the sticker that you have to pay for monthly, but are more than happy to slip nasty notes under your door when you protest the lack of enforcement. If you're on the upper floors, expect to buy and pay extra for AC. The heat is absolutely intolerable, through late fall. On the bright side, living here is better than being homeless.
