Worst Place I have ever lived!

Country Gardens Apartment is the worst apartment I have ever lived. I suspect that anyone says "this place is perfect (like the last review)" is the manager himself writing such a review. Of course, they need to boost the rating on this website in order to get business. In addition, they will also give current tenants some money incentive for referring your friends to live here. However, I will never do such a horrible thing to any of my friends, and I will tell them to STAY AWAY! Many people are moving out of this place now, if you don't believe it, just drive around at night to see how many empty apartments there are and with no lights on.

I thought this place was nice before I moved in, but now I know better. Once my lease is due, I will get the h* out of this place. The maintenance takes a long time and keeps delaying things. The worst thing about this place is the management. They are privately owned, so the manager is the owner, which is a big no no. No normal courtesy or professionalism, no standard way of doing business. Just like some previous tenants reviews have mentioned here before: once they have your money and the lease is signed, they don't give a damn about you. Moreover, they will also make all the excuses not refund your deposit (usually two month of rent with average credit score) after you leave.

Furthermore, I know someone who lived there told me that during the middle of the night, the upstairs water tank broke and the water gushed out from the ceiling and ruined their furniture. The management was very apathetic about it and took a long time to get things resolved. Those apartments, although look nice from outside, was built a long time ago. They remolded that place inside a little bit, but the structure of these building is fundamentally bad and causes many problems.

Also, I wish I negotiated hard about the rent when I moved in. Don t ever believe the price they said. These apartments are not in high demand, so if they cannot rent this place out, they are losing money and cash flow.

Lastly, just go somewhere else. After I moved in, I found out that there are some good and reasonable priced apartments around Troy such as The Apartment at Brunswick, Cedar Park, Park Ridge, and Troy Gardens. I heard from others that Fennimore Trace and Latham Village in Latham are good as well.
