Ever have a horrible super in your building' Well let me tell you one thing. The super at South Grove is a perfectionist. I found out the man is a professional painter. How convenient. This my painted my bathroom because I wanted a specific color. He made sure that I would be responsibile to restore it if I ever vacate but told me he would help me out. Renting here is a pleasure and you feel respected. When I need a occasional repair such as my closet door hinge was off, Evelio Morales is nothing but professional and helpful. When it came to Christmas time I made sure I took care of him. By the way, his wife is very nice. I wasn't home to receive a package and she didn't hesitate to accept it on my behalf because I wouldn't be home during the delivery. Every other day, either Myra or Evelio are vaccuming the hallways and cleaning the front door glass. When I arrived home to see beautiful flowers in the hallways, that was another treat and surprise. The hallways and doors are painted with uplifting colors. I don't hesitate in having company over. There are 47 apartments in the building. Management is also very experienced, professional, and customer service oriented. Diana at Benart is a pleasure to deal with and the lease/application process was easy. They send a maintenance sheet with every rent bill and also exterminating notices. The building is clean but I always believe in preventive maintenance. They have an intercom entry with a code and in the apartment is a telephone/intercom gadget which is cool. The laundry machines are very crowded and work just fine. I thought parking would be an issue but I was told it would cost a one time fee to obtain a sticker/permit throught the village after signing a lease. I think it was forty three bucks for two years. If you don't have a NY registration, than it may cost about three hundred bucks, but it's still for two years. Cheap either way. This allows you to park in the lot behind the church which is less than a half a block from the building. They have both Fios and cable. Little tip. Fios is much better. Long Island Railroad is right here. It's a breeze if you work in the city like I do. The heat is fine. I read this other review and definately false. I told Evelio a few nights it was too hot. My apartment location is on the end (windows on end, an end corner apartment) so I have the coldest apartment. I'm telling you sometimes it is too hot. If you tell hime to make adjustments, he calls the office. They are very fair. The only time I had an issue was they had to do emergency plumbing and I couldn't take a shower. No notice was posted and no heads up. When I questioned Evelio, he said it was an emergency plumbing repair that nobody was aware of and it just happened. This occured only once. Everybody in the building is professional and nice. They only have one bedroom apartments. Two bedrooms don't exist. There are not many children in the building, mainly singles, couples, professionals. Cats allowed, no dogs. No pet fee. Heat and hot water included. Personally, I heard the back apartments or the front apartments across from the church are the best for noise. Overall, I don't hear a peep. Garbage is in back of the builing. They have both a container and pales. Overall, great rating here. You will be lucky to live here. PS (be careful with the furniture when your moving in because I destroyed a wall and was charged $25 dollars)
