I've lived here for over 3 years and love the location and the lay-out of the apartment. But the windows are horrible (they leak air so badly that, when standing in front of a closed window, it feels like it's open). Our average RGE bill is about $150.00 - $200.00, and our upstairs apartment is freezing during the winter and boiling during the summer. We've had them come in and check our air conditioning, they even replaced the unit, and the apartment still tends to be hotter than it is outside. Neither of the bedrooms seem to get heating or cooling, and we've called maintanence on it several times and they tell us that the vents are open and there's nothing they can do. There are constantly bugs in the apartment which they refuse to take care of. The laundry is a joke, there is only 1 washer and dryer for 8 apartments. They've recently raised the price of the laundry but shortened the wash cycle by almost 10 minutes, causing the soap to not properly rinse from your clothes. We've called several times regarding this with no response. The staff, for the most part, have been extremely rude and condescending and unwilling to help or admit fault when things need to be fixed. They jack up the price of rent each year, far beyond the cost-of-living, regardless of the fact that we have been respectful, paying customers for so long and we have to pay monthly rent for our cat AFTER paying an initial $250.00 pet-deposit. It's a shame, because I love the apartment itself and it's in a great area and the price is not bad. But it's not really worth what we pay considering all the crap we have to put up with.
