We lived at Waverly woods for a year. I have lived many places but waverlywoods takes the cake as the worst place so far.
1. The staff is of no help and very imcompetent. The property manager was one of rudiest persons i have ever encountered. Any suggestion we made or compliant we had was dismissed without any consideration. She called us liars at one point. Any call made into the office was never returned and when asked about certain issue, she replied that she never got the call. She basically came into work to collect a paycheck from her company. When it came to actual work she dragger her feet and made all the excuses she could find.
Their add says they are available 24/7 at "your beck and call". When we made a call into the afterhours we were greeted very rudely and treated like dirt because we locked ourselves out.
2. The complex does look nice from the outside but may of the tenants are "scumbags" leaving garbage and beer bottles litered through out the community. There have been attacks in the area that the complex ignores and avoids dealing with. Safety is apparently not a big concern with the management. Agreeing with another review here, the insides are gloomy and dank. The basement is constantly being flood when it rains. When the complex managers were called they put a garbage can under the drip but left the pool of water.
3. Windows are a huge problem with the apartments. Ours didnt shut properly which let in a draft. Other tenant had window problems. Mostly due to the fact they are very old. The montly heating bill in the winter was between 150-250.
4. Our entire apartment had 6 electrical outlets total. The bathroom had none (zero!). if we needed to dry our hair or plug any bathroom appliance in, we had to go into the living room or kitchen.
5. None of the building have fireescapes. The windows could allow a small child to get out. Thats if you want to throw your 3 or 4 year old out the window while you burn alive.
6. doing laundry was nightmare. First of all, the change machine only takes 10 or 20s and not even the new ones. So if you had a small load you still needed to put in atleast 10 dollars. There were issues with other tenants removing laundry loads before the load was actually done. Two buildings share one washer and one dryer.
7. rent doesnt get paid to the complex. It is mailed out to a PO Box. So unless you make your own reciepts, dont count on know they actually got the check. But if you miss your rent better believe youre getting a quick notice.
All that said, the choice is still yours. None of this is in the false.

This is not at all close to what I experienced at this wonderful community. Someone who refers to his/her neighbors as "scumbags"? Yeah, take that with a grain of salt.
