It may appear appealing on the outside with the upkeep on the grounds, but live here for a few years and you'll find that all the pretty sites are very misleading. I lived there for three years, lucked out with good/quiet neighbors for the most part, but that's not to say you can't hear them because when someone does speak or cough or yawn for that matter- you can hear it all. With their goal to "keep rent down" you'll live in a place with original windows that have drafts coming from each one with RGE bills in both summer and winter over 200$ for a 1 bedroom apartment. The carpet also seems original, and is truly disgusting, when I spoke to the office manager about a previous complex I had lived which had the rule that carpets would be changed by 8 years, ironically the carpet in my place was indeed eight years old, why she felt as though I believed her, I still don't know, however, She then stated they could be changed later that year If I was to bring in a sticky note with her writing on it that said the carpets could be changed in approx 6 months, but not then because they were too busy. As far as insects' When I had moved in my bathroom was infested with tiny little ones all over the floor in which I had to spray several times over a couple weeks to rid the area of those. Centipeeds crawling all on your walls, i've got some good pictures if you'd like to see! The furnace and central air were both ancient, when you watch tv be prepared to turn the way up to hear when they turn on! One summer day it took my apartment 6 hours to go from 85 degrees to 78! (within the first two hours it was on, it even went up 2 degrees!). The office staff themselves were rude, condescending, and lie to you. The maintenance guys walked in with their big ole dirty boots in your apartment when you call for them, at least they've been able to fix any issues i had. The pool's another story, I had staph folliculitis twice after swimming in it 2 different summers, when I went to my doctor office, he asked "are you swimming in any sort of public place' Enough said. Safety''''' Within the first two years I things from my car stolen twice! Once it was my windshieldwipers!! When I reported them to the staff, it was "well i haven't heard of any other recent cases" (basically deal with it) Periodically you will see notices next to the mailboxes stating of recent issues with break ins. So, basically if all you care about is the pretty trees and landscaping, this is the place for you! If you care about enjoying your place of residency,feeling safe, getting the best value for your money, dealing with pleasant people, i'd keep looking...
