I lived at Waverly Woods apartments for a year and a half. Living there wasn't a bad experience, except for the out of date and completely energy INefficient windows. No matter what you do to keep the heat in and the winter out, your heat bill will be ridiculously large for a small space. But as I said, no problems living there. Never any complaints... Except I was just a little taken aback by the "DAMAGES" bill that I just received after a month after I moved out. I received an unitemized bill for $35 for damamges. No indication as to what this charge was for... but it did threaten legal action if I didn't submit the money to them within 5 days of receipt. First, they sent it to my Wavery Woods address... Fine... but what damamges could there possibly have been' I literally scrubbed the floors on my hands and knees... So after calling and getting a very condescending woman (Linda): $20 for not cleaning the inside of the stove, and $15 because there was a piece of macaroni under the drip pans (which were replaced by ME). I know its only $35... but REALLY'

Did you tip the maintenance men? If you had they would have probably cut you some slack.

Does that really work? I mean do you want to take a chance doing that and the maintenance men not cutting you any slack.

I have been here for a few months now, and must say- I am VERY, VERY disapointed. My husband and I were very excited to be moving into a somewhat reasonable townhome, while waiting for our house to be built. We had viewed a townhome, but of course not the one we would be getting. We took measurments making sure our large sectional and other things would fit, and everything seemed like it was going to work out great. The day we picked up the keys, we walked in and saw a very different apartment, and to say the least it was a DUMP. We are paying extra for an "updated kitchen" The cabinets are an ugly light oak color and are clearly not wood and VERY cheap. Our "new counter top" is covered with rust stains that WILL NOT come off, and dents. Our fridge is also covered in dents, and after 3 days the handle that apparently was superglued on from previous damage had fallen off. Two of the knobs to the cabinets had fallen off the first time we opened them, and another two are cracked in half. We have a dishwasher that looks to be from the late 70's and hasnt worked since the first time we ran it- they refuse to replace this. Our 1.5 baths look like they havent been updated in about 20 years. My grandmothers original bathroom from the late 60's looks to have the same medicine cabinets and same vanity. Our ceiling in the kitchen as well as our bedroom has smoke stains going all around the entire ceiling. There is also visible water damage spots in EACH room. Our "back yard" has 5 inches of grass in about 3 spots, and everywhere else is dug up dirt. I saw another woman speaking about the bugs- there is a HUGE bug problem. When we moved in there were spider webs from opening the front door, to the storage. There have been masives spiders in our kids room, our room and even bigger ones in the kitchen. I wanted to respond to this review because I saw that she had spoken with Linda. I am not sure how in the world she could possibly be the property manager. She is very unfriendly, extremely rude and just an unpleasent person. She is also VERY condesending and has spoken down to me like I was her child on numerous occasions. If you want to try and tell her about your issue with your apartment, be prepared for her to tell you, you are wrong, you are stupid, and anything you say is just not true and you would have no idea because you do something different for a living. I have thought about writing to Bob Morgan himself about Linda Mayo and her behavior, but have decided she is the way she is because she hates herself and her life. Getting her fired or having her "spoken" to would make no difference in her personality and how truley miserable she has made people here. She is clearly not in the right field, and should NOT be allowed to deal with people. We will wait out our next few months here, and be done with Waverly Woods.
