Broken building, elevators contantly out, now we are paying neighbors gas bills

I've really tried to like this place and be happy here, but it's driving me nuts. ALL elevators were broken this morning, I had to walk down 30 flights of stairs. A 3rd false alarm evacuation (this time after midnight on a worknight) put me over the edge, as it is due to a glitch the managemet refuses to fix (another resident told me this was the 5th of the year).
The pool has been closed for years, though they collect a $600 fee for the amenities. Recent promises to open it in September do not appear to be happening (that is if you like water in your pool!). Another obnoxious move by the nasty management team -- we just got notices under our door that you have to book a 4 hour window for any delivery to your apartment (as if you were moving), and that they take several weeks to acquire, and that if your people dont show in that window you are charged a $150 no-show fee! Incredible.
Recently they just mysteriously outsourced companies for our utilities, so we now pay a flat Gas Bill and our bills doubled!! Everyone in the building is angry, and the other result is everyone has cranked up their heat and you need to open your windows in 30 degree weather.
Only positives is a good location and a pretty nice apartment itself, but at $300 a square foot per month you feel like you could do better elsewhere. The appliances are freakishly loud, not properly installed (you can jiggle the dishwasher as its not mounted) and there are some tacky touches to the otherwise nice environment.
If you are coming to White PLains I'd urge you to sublet from the Trump if you can afford it or make sure you comparison shop -- this place is a lot of window-dressing to hide what I suspect is a money-losing operation.

while i agree with most of what you have said, i dont think it was necessary to dog on section 8 tenants, whom I have never noticed at all. that seems prejudiced to me.

I'm sure it seems prejudiced, but trust me, it has nothing to do with race and everything to do with people in bathrobes/curlers in common areas at 6 pm and up with fast food and 20 friends in the lobby at 4 am (while I'm up for a morning flight for my job). Nothing to do with race - I support subsidies for people actually trying to be part of a community and not those looking for a free ride while thumbing it to the man.
