I lived here for six months and had to break my lease. The first month that I moved into the building, one of the Manager's(-------) friend's was busted for Crystal Meth in the building or at least her boyfriend was.-I should have taken that as an omen...a very bad Omen!
The manager------ ------- was a complete idiot, the office leasing agents were stealing social security numbers, the place is filled with illegal immigrant workers-who keep the place dirty and it is over priced. They threw a Christmas party last year-and the manager------ ------- left valuables unsecured and it all got stolen. We didn't know if it was the temp staff or the real staff but this Manager is a nut case. He makes racial remarks about Jews and ------ and often says that "people live in White Plaines being that they can't afford New York!" I mean-I have never paid so much of money for so much of b.s. in my life. One fine Saturday (when everyone was home in the building) the last working elevator broke down, I go to the office to find out when it will be back running and the leasing agents along with the ------- (the head manager at the time) were throwing around financial papers of some of the renters. One poor guy, according to -------, was getting divorced by this lady from Vermont and I over heard 2 agents talking about his annual income and his alleged drug habit! They didn't even see me standing in the door. ------- said that he should over charge him and accuse him of damaging the garage entrance.
The leasing people and management play loud music, do drugs and gossip about any guest that checks in at the front desk. White Plains is SUPPOSED to have some anti-noise law after a certain hour-but one night a leasing agent, for this property, was blaring her music and marijuana smoke was leaking from the apartment door and smelling up the entire hall way! This place may be marketed good but there is a Dr.Jykle and Mr.Hyde effect going on.
I tried to contact the management (River stone Residential in Texas) but HR just covers for this criminal staff. The current manager-is some guy form Texas and he was stealing money from the owners. It is owned by 4 east ------- at JP Morgan Chase. There are always cops in the place and head manager doesn't know the first thing about ethics or being professional. They also own the Bank Street location and I hear that it is even worse.

Why dont you go live there and you will find out.....oh wait...you must be the manager coming online and trying to do PR for your own shady run building. This is the exact type of thing that staff at One City Pl would do. I hope HR finds out about how your online when you should be making sure that those 50 fire hazzards are taken care of in that building. RIP OFF!!!

I lived at this place from 02-06 to 12-07 and they switched managers from a woman, who sat around and did nothing to this young kid from Texas, who worked for Riverstone and he sat around and did nothing. The place is a dump. I think they only survive by getting in the imported IBM workers and other foreign workers who do not know any better but everything that --- said, seems about right and accurate. The leasing staff was the main problem and the management company. There was one Jamaican lady who was professional and appeared to be the only one who knew how to run or manage a building. It was a bad nightmare. try living on the 18th floor with elevators that never worked and a staff that couldn't even understand English!

Mr. Ebert wrote an intelligent, thoughout, mature response. However, the originial poster obviously has serious isses and should speak to a mental health professional.

Does anybody know if these issues have been cleared up, with these allegations of criminal activity in the leasing office, and worse???
