Nice Building, Not so Intelligent Management

I've lived here 4 months now, I love my apartment and I love the amenities (now that the pool is actually open). I haven't had nearly as terrible experiences as others who have posted here on this site but my main frustration lies with the leasing office.
I find them to be confused, unprofessional, scatterbrained-just overall unacceptable for a building that charges residents a great deal of money. One would think they could find capable and intelligent professionals to manage a high end leasing office. I've had better service when I lived in one room shoebox apartments in the city when I was in my 20s.
They are always coming up with new papers to sign (that you very well know you signed already) which leads me to believe they don't keep track of their files. Hopefully they're not losing our paperwork full of personal information. I hope not. Even when you bring it to their attention that they've already gotten something from you or that they're giving you the wrong information they act as though its no big deal- never apologizing, never acknowledging their wrongs. It's extremely frustrating. In a service oriented business, one would think they'd want to make their paying renters happy and keep them in the building. I almost felt like flagging down prospective renters at this "open house" last week and being like look somewhere else! These people don't have their ---- together! Save yourself the frustration.
I think its time for Riverstone to clean house in the leasing office and start from scratch. It's obviously not working.

I completely agree; the building and location itself is nice (a great plus was the level of quiet in my apartment), but the management and service are just horrendous. They have an obnoxious attitude and try to nickel and dime everyone all the time with ridiculous policies (like their sketchy utilities service). And they took forever to fix the pool, and the garage is a dripping poorly designed mess. Some of the concierges are nicer, but some are flat out rude. (The only exception is the polite and prompt maintenance staff.) I couldn't tolerate the rudeness and corruption any longer and left; I really did not want to give these jerks another red cent. I advise you to go elsewhere, perhaps the new Avalon where right away the representatives seemed much more professional.
