I lived here for a year and it was the WORST experience EVER. I had a 2 BR which was fairly large but that is the only good thing I can say about it. The floor tiles were coming up in the kitchen and the bathroom, the rest of the apartment was covered in horrible cheap carpet. They had to shut off the gas in the whole building for weeks because there were so many leaks (over 200!!) in the pipes that the company refused to restore it until it was safe to. That process, of course, took weeks because they kept trying to do completely inadequate patch jobs that would just break when the gas company tried to do a test run. When we asked for a reduction in the rent (which includes gas that we hadn't had for 3/4s of the month) they threatened us with eviction. And they think they can still collect rent from you after they evict you. It's in the lease even though it's illegal and they say if you don't like it "then get a lawyer". That's pretty much their response to anything actually.

The building is not safe at all. Cars just sit in the outdoor lot with no camera or anything. There is no one around at night to keep an eye on things. The doors are frequently broken so anyone can get in and walk around.

The laundry rooms are awful. It is ridiculously expensive to use the machines and they don't even work. It takes about 3 runs in the dryer to get things dried. We just laid things out on our floor.

The biggest reason not to move is the staff. They are terrible. The secretary is one of the rudest most incompetant people I have ever met. The owner's wife (who effectively runs the place) is even worse. If you call down there for anything be it a maintenance problem, a question, whatever, they'll just yell at you or accuse you of breaking the apartment and tell you to fix whatever it is yourself. They refused to do any kind of walk through when we moved in to check out the pre existing damage to the apartment. Their first excuse was we moved in on the weekend and they aren't in on weekends (even though they make you move in on weekends so it's not like you have a choice). Then on Monday they said we'd been there for 2 days and so they couldn't be sure that we hadn't done the damage in there. When our lease was up we moved out as quickly as possible. We had to fight tooth and nail to get our security deposit back which we eventually did but only after getting a lawyer to write them a letter. They KNOW that most of what they do is illegal but they count on people not being able to get legal help. Do NOT move in here!! You'll be sorry!!!
