love it here!!

I have lived here a couple years & will probably stay a couple more. I have a 3BR/2BA 1100sq.ft apt & really like it here. the office staff is great & the maintenance guys are quick at getting things fixed if there is a problem in the apt. the parking lot gets plowed in a timely manner (too timely sometimes, as we hear the beeping from the plows at 3 or 4 am sometimes), but they are usually pretty clear. sidewalks & entrances get shoveled eventually, depending on how much snow & what time of day/night the storm comes. it is a little cold in the back bedroom in the winter, so we leave up black-out curtains & keep them closed to keep the cold air outside as much as possible.
definite pluses: spacious!! (there are lots of different floor plans, so it depends on which apt/townhouse you are looking at.) AIR CONDITIONING, which is a plus with the humid summers! the pool is a nice bonus, except you can only swim if there is a lifeguard on duty, which we think is a little strange, being from out of state. quiet neighbors. we can hear our next-door neighbor walking around sometimes, but unless someone is yelling in the hall, we hardly hear a thing. huge bedrooms & a great, roomy floorplan with great bright natural lighting from the windows.
drawbacks: the laundry in the basement costs $1.25/load to wash & $1/load to dry. if the apt included WD, it would be GREAT. our kitchen is really small. rent goes up $5 a year... some problems don't get fixed - we have been complaining about a huge mud puddle that builds up outside the building due to a cracked sidewalk - someone is bound to get hurt out there before it gets fixed.

overall I really like living here though!
it is a GREAT neighborhood, safe, quiet, close to wegmans, the post office, etc... williamsville is such a cute, quiet community.

(I also lived at drexel hill, the next complex over. loved it there, too! didn't stay there because the apts are smaller - I think 850ft 2br/1ba... but rent is cheaper & the heat is included! plus, their maintenance guys are amazing & plow all the sidewalks as soon as it snows, even in the middle of the night. no pool though & AC only wall-units in some apts.)
