The Good, The BAD, the UGLY.....the TRUTH

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
Before I moved in to Cedarwood Village, I actually remember reading the reviews on this very site to get some helpful information. I found most of the reviews to be of little or no help at all.
So to save any potential renters some time and money, I'm going to spill my guts about my experience here.
The Good:
- If you like to party, bars are within walking distance
- If you don't like to party, bars are far enough away to have peace and quiet.
- MY specific apartment is amazing. 2 bedroom, 2 bath, closet space for a life time.
It was actually remodeled & repainted right before we moved in. You may not be so fortunate.
- Large living room and master bedroom
- I'm a comfortable driving distance away from campus (The U of A)
- Repairs are done FAIRLY quickly.
- We have 2 pools.
- Landscapers come once a week to do their thing (*whatever that may be)
- The Clubhouse is very nice but rather small.
The Bad:
- Parking is a B****! There will be plenty of times you will have to walk some distance from your car to your apt. because of visitors who CONSTANTLY hijack your parking spots. This can and WILL become VERY annoying. (no I'm not lazy)
- There WILL be drunk idiots who enjoy screaming and throwing random s*** in the parking lots very early in the morning when bars are just closing. (mainly thursday-saturday)
- Cedarwood DOES plow when it snows, but the sad thing is, they will most likely plow you IN with no remorse.
- The shower's water pressure is a JOKE
- Yes the landscapers come every week, but they are MORONS who will blow MULCH all over your newly washed ride.
** I've witnessed this act done about 8 different times over the summer
- They charge you a $300 NON-REFUNDABLE pet deposit which is a RIP OFF
- They charge you an extra $20/per month for having a pet. (I can live with that I guess)
- The "gym" is a JOKE!! (although it does have a very nice flat screen TV for some odd reason)
- Sure they have laundry, but most of the time they are being used and you have to wait.
The UGLY:
- They raised our rent and are now making us pay for water $22.00/per month
- They WILL take 30-45 days to return whatever is left of your deposit to you.
- VERY POORLY INSULATED. YOU WILL BE FREEZING UNLESS YOU CRANK YOUR HEAT
- Every body in town who does not live at Cedarwood WILL use your pool.
- They make YOU pay for a special laundry card, which you'll have to walk in the freezing cold to the clubhouse to put money on it. You will get annoyed by this process and most likely go elsewhere to do laundry.
The TRUTH:
- The apartments are very nice (at least mine was)
- Move here if you don't mind the high prices
- This is the place for you if you don't have a dog
- This will be your wonderland if you don't mind dealing with drunken idiots at night
- Good luck finding a parking spot at night :)
THE END!
