I have lived here for a year and am renewing my lease. The first thing to keep in mind when renting here is that you are living above several bars. There are 5 bars total. A couple have some good food options, but they're still bars, so if that bothers you, don't live here. You will have noise on Friday and Saturday nights. If your apartment faces into the courtyard, you'll likely have noise several other nights of the week also. If you want quiet, look elsewere. Also, parking can become a bit scarce if you come home after 10 or 11pm on Friday or Saturday night. That being said, I love living here. I like the area and the fact that entertainment is litterally right at your front door. The only drawback is the lack of closet space in the small 1 bedroom apartments. Other than that, they are well built and haven't had any problems whatsoever. The staff is usually very good about fixing things that get broken in the common areas. The neighbors are all very quiet because this is they type of place you live when you have a relatively active lifestyle and don't spend an abundant amount of time at home to begin with. Most all of us are either professional stiffs working 9-5 jobs or graduate or law students who spend most all of their time studying. Needless to say, there aren't really any wild parties going on every weekend. All of my friends envy me over the fact that I live here and they don't. So, if you have an open mind and are laid back enough to deal with some of the previously mentioned drawbacks of the place, it's a fantastic place to live and don't intend on moving any time soon.

This review contradicts itself. I know people who have lived here as well. It is very loud, yet nice apartments....hmmmm how is that a fantastic place to live? I'd call it mediocre at best especially for the high price. Reviews are meant to be helpful, not confusing.

I understand what the person is trying to convey. The noise is what comes with the territory. If you live the kind of lifestyle that fits in with this atmosphere, then noise on Fri and Sat nights probably doesn't bother you. In other words, this probably isn't the best place for older persons or anyone trying to raise a family, but is a good fit for a younger student or working professional...

I am from the City of Philadelphia, and i totally agree with the person is trying to convey! I am looking into moving here for just the reasons they said...and i dont think they were conctradicting themselves the residents are quiet however the bar's below them can get noisy. Just how i like it! But everyone has their own forte' for living and i think i found home sweet home right here in Akron!
