I was a resident there for a year. I loved it at first. I do however feel I was discriminated against for being young. We had gotten written up for noise complaints I heard when no one was even home. I asked for some type of explenation and I was informed by the office manager that she "did not have to prove anything to me". It was impossible to sleep with the constant pounding from my upstairs neighboor. At one point I was even blamed for the whole complex shaking, despite the obvious road construction of the privacy wall. I was never late on a payment even after a roommate moved out of her lease on time. However due to noise complaints that were unjustified we were filed an evection notice, which when I talked to Pam I was yet again put down. Pam went as far as to say "we are not welfare housing" implying me and my roommate who always paid on time were welfare. Like many others I was not given my deposit. There was damages to the blinds from my previous roommate, that i had informed them for. I spent 3 days cleaning my apartment and even had the carpets professionally done. Pam even walked in saying my apartment smelled of lemons during the walk through only to turn around later saying carpets needed replaced. Now i admit I did have a dog, but the dog was paid for and I blacklight tested the apartment myself. We have a female dog, the walls had spray on them from a previous pet, but the blame fell on us. They also only went on to charge me over what was due, not the other leasors but me. Pam even said at one point "well we can not get a hold of your other roommates so we can only send you in to claims." which i think is unfair in the fact that they know I would pay it to avoid it going on my credit. If you are a young adult I highly recommend not renting from parkhill.

OMG....wow sounds the same. we live at another fairway property and we too are young and being extremely discriminated against. we have gotten 5 noise complaints this year and they have been on night/weekends when we weren't even home! its ridiculous!!!! the "owner" is the rudest person that i have ever had to deal with, acting as if she is better than ANYONE that lives on property. i am getting ready to move out in a month or so and so help me gawd if they do not give us back our security deposit. when we moved in we made them write down every single tiny little detail it regards to what was wrong so we did not get blamed for it! and its a shame b/c even though the apartments are nice we're leaving b/c of the rudeness of staff and their ridiculous claims against residents, with the price i pay i should be getting treated like royalty. but i guess being friendly gets shoved aside when you're greedy!
