Not luxury, not nice, not worth it

I am very dissatisfied. This facility has been nothing but an innconvenience for us from the start. Now let me start off by saying I am the most easy going, non confrontational person I know.I look at the bright side of everything. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and everyone has one second chance. Park Hill has used their second chance up already after a few short months of living here. I'll start with the positive. The pool area seems nice though we moved in the fall so have been unable to use the facilities. Gym area is nice, small but useful and you have to pay a fee to receive a gym pass. The location is convenient. Grass, bushes and landscape are taken care of. I enjoy watching the geese and ducks in the pond, and the BBQ areas are close by. Ok now we get into some important things. First encounter was we were quoted on price and went to sign the lease a week after the quote and magically the price went up $65. It was too late to turn back. We weren't able to do a final walk through the apartment because Elizabeth ( a "manager" in the office) was pressed for time. She forced us to sign the paper saying that we did stating we were not able to receive our keys until doing so. Unfortunately I signed and found large green spots on the carpet from what I'm guessing to be former tenants, scratches on the washing machine, dryer, doors and baseboards, cut/knife marks on the counter tops, and etc. Now I have seen and heard from former employees and tenants that maybe 1% of the people get their deposit back. Pam made us double ours equaling close to $2000. Looks like we will be out 2 grand for their laziness and greediness. Second Elizabeth was completely rude during every contact once we signed the lease, as well was Pam the leasing "manager". I also checked online on their website and they have a group called "Tattle tails" where it basically states rat on your neighbor if you see them not pick up after their dog, tell on them and they'll pay you. I do not have pets, but I think this policiy is ridiculous and morally wrong. No I don't want dog droppings around but the whole idea behind this is absurd. So these pet owners have to pick up after their dog, take it in the house because you may not leave garbage outside and waiting until trsh goes out' Why don't they have recepticles around for dog waste if it is such a problem' Moving on, within the first month it snowed and our roof started to leak. Since then they have had to come to OUR apartment 3 times to fix other problems. Now mind you, maintenance has been very nice and fixed our problems, but for a "luxury" apartment don't you think that these problems should not exist in the first place and especially so many in such a short period of time' I am not happy with the fact they just come into your apartment whether you are there or not. These are my things, my house, my property. I am not comfortable with this at all and just recently I was home ill and in my PJs and the maintenance man waltzed right into MY house unannounced. Not ok. I feel totally violated. This is OUR apartment, and more appropriately, our home. WE pay rent every month on time. This blase', nonchalant attitude is unacceptable. They may not come and go as they please. When I called with concern they informed me that they had too many apartments to fix and did not have time to call to state they needed to fix the problem and enter MY apartment. Unacceptable. I beleive if I am correct the law does state that they must give you a 3 day notice. I have a call into my lawyers office looking into this. Also they left a note on everyone's door stating they needed to enter the apartment (this time with notice thank goodness) and "inspect". I'm sorry I'm a grown adult, if there is a problem I will call you. I don't need people running through my house with a clip board and opening doors and cabinents and sifting through my things. I have nothing to hide, but again I feel violated and like I've done something wrong which of course I haven't, but thats the general feel. Within living here my privicy has been completely crossed and I feel there are no boundaries. Once our lease is up, we will be moving immeadiately and will NOT reccomend this complex to anyone. If you value your privicy and yourself you will not move in.

What apartment number was this? I know I had a small green spot on my carpet in the closet and was charged to replace all the carpeting in my house. If I paid and they did not replace this. I will be pissed. I was in 589 apt #6.

It never ceases to amaze me that people who take the time to share their one-sided opinion on this type of medium choose not to identify themselves. That says it all.
