I have lived in King Apartments for almost 3 years now. Overall the experience has not been horrible, but it hasn't been the best. Maintenance only comes to take care of your complaints when they feel like it and then they don't usually even fix the problem-they usually only cover it up. I do have problems with mold in my bathrooms, which I am consistently cleaning and maintenance doesn't seem to think it is their responsibility to take care of. My window, balcony roof and toliet in my main bathroom have all been broken for most of this last year, maintenance doesn't even respond to my calls for repair. I wouldn't recommend going out after dark alone in the complex. I have witnessed many drug deals and there are alot of sketchy characters wandering around the complex. There walls and floors are very thin. I hear everything that my neighbors on each side and below me are saying and doing, thankfully I am on the thrid floor and there is no one above me. I do have to say that the apartments are spacious and I really do the love the layout of my apartment. Plus I have a wonderful view of the lake. It's not the most beautiful lake in the world or even the cleanest, but it is relaxing to come home and sit on my balcony and just enjoy the view. If you are looking for a reasonably priced apartment and you don't need all of the extra ammenities then I would recommend this place for you. There are alot of students in the complex and I think this is perfect student apartment, plus very close the UA. After 3 years of dealing with all the unpleasantness I have decided that I am ready to move to a nicer apartment closer to my job and my husbands. Good luck with your search.
