Timber Top

 

I moved in to Timber Top in June of 2002.

The rental office staff are all inbred fat women who think they are the smartest people on Earth.

Don't get me wrong, they were nice...until I signed my lease.

The maintenance people are courteous, but they only have TWO maintenance people!!! Timber Top is huge! No wonder it takes them weeks to fix things.

The apartments are not the greatest either.

When I moved in there were stains all over the carpet, loose carpet on the stairs.

The walls here are TISSUE paper thin!!! We can hear our neighbors having sex constantly.

We can hear people playing music even with all of our windows and doors shut, People having LOUD parties until 3am on a Tuesday night!! I swear, it's like people here can afford rent, yet they never go to work! Another reason I think you should not move in here is that I had never seen many Akron Police Officers since I moved in here.

If it isn't my neighbor getting arrested for beating his wife (which we can also hear), to drug busts.

The majority of occupants at Timber Top are college students, Young single mothers with 3 children by different fathers, and if you do move in here, get a top floor apartment because when people have children, you will hear them cry at 2am...run around at 5am...I swear I can't sleep through the night! The pool is another story! I know they try to real people in by showing the pool off.

The pool is a great place for sun bathing but the pool is NOT heated and was usually about 55 degrees!!! Even the hot tub was cold.

They overcharge so much for rent, yet they can't heat their pool.

Parking is okay.

We have a one car garage that I won't park in because they have a row of parking spots directly behind my garage and it takes me 5 minutes to get out of the garage because I'm scared I'll hit a car.

These people do not have any freaking sense about garbage disposal! They have one medium sized dumpster for 4 apartment buildings to share.

I swear, I won't open my windows the trash smells so bad in the dumpster..which is emptied twice a week, yet it is always overflowing.

The roads here suck! They seriously need to be repaved.

The streets are VERY narrow (easy to get in accidents), pot holes and cracks.

But it gets better! Winter time.

If you live here, you should leave for work about 15 minutes early because that is how long it will take you to get from your apartment to the entrance! They NEVER plow the roads and when they do it is at 10am after everyone has already left for work.

One positive thing that I really like about Timber Top is the scenery.

For some reason, they can afford awesome landscapers because there are always beautiful flowers in the spring and summer.

The grass is always mowed and in the winter, the snow on the trees is a awesome sight! There is absolutely NO security at Timber Top.

If you have a problem, you call the Akron Police Department.

I do not feel safe in my apartment and can not wait to get out of this hell whole!! I am moving out October 1!!! aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

I totally agree. I lived at Timbertop with two of my friends during Aug 1999 - Aug 2000. The place sucks. First of all they charge too much for rent for a 3 bedroom. Second, I had my tires slashed TWO SEPARATE TIMES in the parking lot. When I tried to leave for work in the morning is when I found them. Timbertop did not even care that this happened to me. All they said was call the police. Then, when we finally left the POS apartment. We never got our security deposit back after we busted our A$$E$ cleaning the place. About a month later we started getting calls from a collections agency saying we owed like $300 because we left the place dirty! What a pile of crap! We cleaned the hell out of it and then instead of giving us our security deposit back they turn us into collections??? STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM TIMBERTOP! THEY ARE CROOKS!
