Timber Top

 

The ONLY things going for this place:
- woods' scenery
- pool
That's it! I lived here for almost 3 years and I do NOT miss it at all.

The atmosphere is really nice, but too bad the construction of the buildings, neighbors and management ruin it for you.

If you're a college student who loves to party/have fun, this place IS PERFECT for you! If you're a professional (like myself) who actually has a REAL job and puts in 40-hour weeks OR you have a family, this is NOT for you.

BUILDING: the comments are consistent.

The apartments are not built with quality in mind.

Very thin walls and floors; you can hear your neighbors VERY well.

If they actually spent more time building these apartments instead of trying to get as many up as possible, the building would be great.

As far as space goes, there are bigger.

The one-bedroom is only 500 square feet; not very big at all.

MANAGEMENT: they are rude, but I put them in their place the minute they used a tone towards me.

After that, I never had a problem with them.

I am the customer and they will not talk to me like I am an idiot and I let them know it, too.

I documented every little thing.

I had a problem with noisy college students above me and finally got them evicted.

Management did follow procedures with me (because they knew I worked in a field that can easily embarrass them) and the people above me were evicted.

As far as maintenance goes, never had any problems.

They were quick to fix things.

Pool is beautiful, but because of the section 8 complex across the street (which is NICER than timber Top), they seem to float over to Timber Top.

Never had problems with my car being broken into.

Found out that they stopped with security after a storm knocked out power AND land-line phone service.

I also did not have a problem getting my deposit back.

I got all of it back (probably because they know I would have been all over them for it).

This place does not have the best reputation at all in Akron.

In fact, I always referred to it as "Timber Trash" because that is exactly what it is.

And that's a shame.

It's a shame that the beautiful scenery is ruined by poorly built apartments.
Overall, I would NOT recommend living here.

There are better, more spacious and more economically places to rent in Cuyahoga Falls.

If you're a college student, this is perfect for you.

But if you are a college grad and/or have a family, seriously pass by this place.

It's NOT that great of a bargain overall.
