Ok I really do like this place, and every time I read a good review they get jumped on with comments about how it has to be management,I don't see this, seriously. I love this place I lived in building 24 last year, and this fall I moved into 23. I am a student and love the locations, out of the city but not long of a commute at all, 5-10 mins to downtown. I paid 545 last year and 600 this year for a slightly bigger place with a back porch. you really cannot beat the price for what you get, free heat and water. you just pay rent and elec and whatever you choose for tv/internet. The neightborhood is not perfect but its not the mobster run ghetto that people wright one here about. I have never personally heard of robery's here or car theft/vadalism. The maintnance staff has never took longer than 2 business days to get to my service request. the office staff is always polite and I have never had and issue with the roads being too icy even in blizards, the grounds crew works around the clock all winter to make it safe for drivers and the lanscaping is kept nice in the summer and spring. It's near many popular places like summit mall/fairlawn and chappel hill all within 10 mins. and downtown akron under 10 mins. The akron and summit metro parks are wonderfull and so scenic and the towpath is great for biking and jogging, they are all pretty much across the street or a couple minutes drive away. People complain about construction, the place is huge and they always have crews working on something, would you rather have some sounds of hammers for a little bit while they fix your unit or would you rather have the roof leak or stairs fall down' the stucture of this place is not luxury but it is very safe yet looks good. It is a real shame that timber top gets such a bad rep. I honestly do not think that this place is that bad at all... just give it a chance and check it out.

COnsidering how you said "unit" and rated the office and maintenence staff a 5, I would say your an employee. The average person says home or apartment, not unit. Quoting distances to attractions is definatley the work of an employee marketing the property.

Sorry I don't hate where I live, I mean its not perfect but its not halfway house with hoodlums and shootings like people say, I'm happy there, I love the location and for the price, you can't beat it.

I have when ananymous posters say that everyone is Management if they give it a good or decent even review. Did you ever think some people may never have had a bad experience and therefore because of that they actually rate the place fairly based on their own experience, instead of reputation because you and some people have heard it called ghetto? Maybe the anaonymous repliers are managment of a competing place - that's more likely than the posters who rate fairly.

I have lived here for a year & live in bldg 8. I haven't had any issue w/management or the neighbors. Since I am on an end unit I only have a neighbor to the right & one below me & they're barely ever home or if they are are fairly quiet. It's a shame that Timbertop gets such a bad rap. Trust me, the last place I lived in, I had lived there for 12 years and didn't get the respect I deserved so came here. It all depends on you're neighbors if you have a positive experience or not. I have a few new neighbors in the same bldg this year so after this summer we'll see how it goes. As for the management, I have never had to wait more than 24 hrs to have any issue resolved so I think that is the best part of all.
