First I must say that my boyfriend has lived in these apartments for 5 years now. I moved in with him 2 years ago. The first year was spent in an apartment that was falling apart. The washer/dryer had leaked and made a hole in the ceiling above the living room, and a huge hole had been patched in the bathtub (rather than replacing it), which also had left a huge hole above the kitchen. The carpet had stains that just absolutely could not be removed, even with a professional cleaning. The carpet was also coming up along the edges just about everywhere.

Noise levels are terrible. The walls are paper thin. You can hear neighbors using the shower or washing clothes, even just flushing the toilet! Management and maintenance is very poor. There is such a high turn-over rate, it seems as if there is at least one new person in the office every couple months. While they are friendly, it would be much more helpful if they actually knew what they were talking about.

As far as the grounds are concerned, during the spring/summer/fall, I have had no complaints. But during winter, watch out! This winter, snow removal was horrendous! At one point, my car got stuck because they hadn't cleared the 3ft of snow that had fallen the night before. They had only cleared the "main" road. The walkways were extremely icy, and even worse because only some of the apartments have an overhang to protect you from icicles.

$40 per month for water is just insane! Insulation sucks in these apartments. We moved into a "renovated and updated" apartment last July because our other apartment was just disgusting, and heat and A/C were horrible. This apartment is a bit better, but we still had to add our own insulation.

On the up-side though, the pool is well-kept, and the fitness room is extremely nice. I think the only other issue is the amount of storage space (or lack there of). Although there is a one-car garage, if you have more than one car, you are S.O.L. Thre is a nice walk-in closet in the main bedroom, but that still does not leave you with much storage space at all.

And don't even get me started on the pet policy. A $300 fee and then $25/month for each pet'' As if they don't charge you enough as it is!

All in all, I definitely would not recommend these apartments to people. They are expensive, and you just don't get your moneys worth from them. It would be better if the staff actually stayed consistent too.
