At least our dog can live there

So far, the only really good thing I have experienced living at Bayberry Crossings is that our dog can live with us. However, awhile back, they took away the bags that people used to clean up after their dogs; now, people rarely perform this chore which results in dog excrement laying around in every grassy area. I don't know if this was done to cut costs or what, but it's created a mess.

My car was broken into once when the light in the parking lot was out for about 2 weeks. Also, there is often broken glass and trash laying in the parking lot and out in the field.

We re-signed our lease b/c nowhere else will allow us to have a heavy dog for this price. So, money-wise, rent is cheaper here. However, I don't believe living here is worth what we pay.

Maintenance is okay for most things, but last summer we tried to get our AC fixed b/c it was blowing out only semi-cool air and it was running constantly. They came & changed our filter. That didn't work, so they came back and still didn't fix it. Eventually, they told us, "Well, it's almost fall now!" This summer, the same issue occurred. They came out the first time to fix our AC & put a new part in. Two weeks later, the AC broke again. They finally replaced it, but this was after a total of about 15 days without AC during the hottest August we've ever had. They gave us some money off of our rent, but I do not feel like we were properly reimbursed for having no AC and for having such high energy bills.

The staff is friendly, which is nice, but sometimes takes awhile to call back regarding issues. The guy who was on-call for emergency maintenance was unhelpful when our AC broke the first time this summer. Later on, we were told that no AC (even during a severe heat warning) is not considered an emergency.

Lastly, the washer/dryer in my building has probably taken about $20 from me since living there. Error message is displayed often after inserting quarters.
