I can't say enough bad things about this place.

When I moved in, the apartment had not been cleaned from the previous tenants. The carpet was stained with what appeared to be red paint, and clearly had seen a lot of...love. The pipes in the laundry room leaked, and they tried to blame my brand new washing machine on the water damage. I had to have a repairman come and certify it was not my machine that caused the damage to avoid paying. Meanwhile, I lived with black mold and mildew for the rest of my stay.

The tile in the bathroom was covered in cigarette burn marks. I ended up replacing it myself.

The kitchen was disgusting and apparently had a mouse problem at some point. It took hours of cleaning to get it up to my standards.

Friends who lived in the complex (it was very close to our job) had trouble with their ovens only having two settings: off and 600 degrees. No surprising, considering they were the best of 1970's technology.

Why did I rent from them' Because sadly, Barbara Lane is actually one of the best apartment complexes in the Ashland area.
I'd recommend living in Wooster or Medina and driving. You'll be happier.

Oh, to have one positive comment, the landscaping was actually pretty decent. It's how they trick you into signing a lease.

Keep in mind that I lived in the complex 4 years ago. I'm glad to hear that things have changed since then.
