I have one word for you if you are looking at renting from Eastgate Woods Apartments. MOLD
This begins by living in one of their sub-level apartments. I will not say exactly how long I lived there, but it was longer than a year. Anyway, the first year we started noticing that there was musty smell to the apartment. We started noticing it on our clothes and furniture. We then started to discover mold on the window ledges and in the bathroom. So I went and talked to Gary (The Manager) and he said that it is common in our sub-levels and there isn't anything that can be done about it. Right! So we stuck it out a few more months because we were looking to get into a house. Upon moving out, everything we touched that had been sitting on or near the floor had mold on it. I brought it to the attention of the guy who does the check-out inspection. He laughed and told me that the carpet alone has been there for over 18 years. That is absolutely disgusting!
I am in my new house finally, but now I am worried that I have transferred the mold from Eastgate Woods to my house. It never ends...... So what are they doing about it, well nothing, not yet.
