I lived here for over 2 years. My apartment has been ant infested for 1.5 years and still counting. Management bombed twice now with no permenent results. Too much crime! My Camaro along with too many other cars have been vandelised or broken into to frequently. If you like to party with loud people and stereos, this is the place for you. Myself, I like quiet,normal life for my kids. I have to do repairs on my own apartment! Yes, I have to do my own repairs if I want the problem fixed properly. 7/2002 I requested my A/C to be replaced. My electric bill was double my highest bill I ever got before then. The manager and main maintenece stated it was a bad meter. They allowed my 1 and 5 year-old children to suffer in tempetures over 100 degrees. I ended up solving the problem myself. The air conditioners were crusted with crud. Sad part is, they ?serviced? the units in April. Also, the thermostats were so twisted and bent that they could not get a reading causing the A/C to stay on 24/7. Please Mr. Manager, Please respond! You know who I am. I have signed testimony from previos and few current residents to the problems here. I have film footage of my dismay. I even have footage of the manager driving straight thru the stop sign without stopping. Reason, I do not trust management in refunding my deposit when I do move. I have plenty of evidence to show just how corrupt and unskilled the property place is. Also, no matter what the problem is, it is your fault! Eastgate woods never makes a mistake. I get a great laugh from that! The manager is the best! He has a million excuses why the renter should be greatful for having an Ant infested apartment with trash in the parking lot. Ohh, the manager loves to tow cars! My Camaro was towed, even after I showed proof that it was registered, he refused credit saying that it was insufficent proof. Do not get me wrong, the price for a 2 bdrm in this area is reasonable, but due to certain problems and conditions, the bargain turns into a bad deal. As to the manager?s posting about the upset resident renewing their lease, I renewed mine too! That surely doesn?t mean I am happy. The expense of hiring movers is costly. I am geting a house soon. Why would I go thru the expense to move only to move again shortly later. That was a very poor cop-out from management to show the tenant is happy. I will renew my lease again in February, but it will be month-month. The management does try to get the partiers out of here. Problem is, they should have screened them more aggressively than seeing green, then pass them the keys. The maintence is not bad, just their limitions is extremely limited. The manager and/or owner is too cheap to get proffessionals in to do the important work.. like GET RID OF THE ANTS!!!! The lock on my door, they repaired it over 4 times with no succesful results. It needs replaced, but head of maintence himself said that the complex was to cheap to approve a new lock for my door to provide safety. Also, they say NO PETS, but then they say pets ok. Problem, owners of the pets let the dog shiat everywhere then my kids have to watch their step. The place has hope if the higher levels get their act together, until then, I have to state my dissatisfaction.




UPDATE: July 2003

It appears that management is impersonnating 'residents' to try and sucker consumers. I now do not live at Eastgate Woods (HOORAY!!). My security deposit was not refunded. They gave me $80 saying that the walls were dirty and the carpets were destroyed. Yes, walls would be dirty after 3 years of residencey, but the walls get painted by law. That was bogus. When you move in, they demand a 'carpet' deposit. This is to ensure that you will not be responsable for the carpet. That is a con! The 'dirt' is actually mildew from the padding below the carpet. When you move in, the carpet is white.. just throw some fuirniture down to put weight on the carpet.. the carpet will get black from the mildew in the padding. This is no surprise considering their resident manager is a nobody with a low-paid job. Eastgate woods does not have a properly trained staff. Gary, he is not to be trusted. He has boldly lied to me on numerous occasions. I was shocked, when they gave my new landlord excellent review. Eastgate Woods is perfect if you are 18-26 of age with no kids. Then many of the livimg conditions may be more livable. That still doesn't change the fact of them looting security deposits.

Your vehicle probably wouldn't have been towed if the car ran and had current plates...that happens everywhere. I doubt they picked out your car just to be mean to you.
