I'm a respectable, upper class, white woman from Georgia. Eastgate Woods was my first home in Ohio and I was way out of my league. What a rude awakening!

I moved to Eastgate Woods because it was close to work and cheap. My Sales Rep lived there and said she loved it. The people were nice and quiet. It was a dream come true. I was sadly mistaken. The day after I moved in, the Sales Rep., with long, blond hair was knocking on my door. She forgot to keep the carbon copies to my contract. She came back several more times that same day, because she forgot to have me sign documents and proceeded to forget her carbon copies again, etc. She had the audacity to blame me for her forgetfulness! Dummy me for not understanding that she was a dumb blond and incapable of doing her job correctly. (*gasp)

The community was a nightmare! The carpets were the saddest thing I've seen in my life! The kitchen cabinets had severe water damage and I had a problem with mice and cock roaches. The maintenance team did resolve the problem promptly. They do deserve credit for fixing the issue. My apartment always smelled like mold and cigarettes. I don't even smoke! The model apartment they showed me was clean and respectable!

Within weeks the apartment above mine got robbed, drug dealers lived next door and some woman was always chasing her boyfriend around with a knife, screaming obscene language, threatening to kill him. He in return threatened to kill her on many occasions. Oh...yes there was a peeping tom incident too! The man on the 3rd floor was in the habit of leaving his bathtub water running ALL DAY LONG. Needless to say....everybody below him got flooded out. This cost me several hundred in dry cleaning bills. The police were frequent visitors. They were busily investigating fraud, rapists, druggies and other criminals.

Whenever I needed assistance, the office help gave me the run around. Their first question was...."Ohhh....goody, you're going to pay your past due rent. I'm so proud of you! " That was always a shocker, considering my bill was always paid on time. Unlike the white trash majority, I maintained a job and had excellent credit!

The best day of my life is when I broke my lease. I gladly paid the penalty fee just so I could move!

If the rent seems too good to be true, there's something wrong. Don't fall for the sales pitch. Please learn from my mistake! I was just young and inexperienced.

Today, I live in a respectable neighborhood. I highly recommend the Mason area. Pay the extra money and you won't regret it. I feel so safe! My opinion about Cincinnati has vastly improved. You really do have upper, middle class people here. Wow! I'm starting to really enjoy this town!

If you love living in sloth, tobacco, knives and rapists, then Eastgate Woods in Batavia for you! It's mighty fine living if you love the criminally inclined, white trash!

Be smart and ensure that you have rental insurance at all times! From personal experience, it's a life saver and worth the extra expense!
