I've read several bad reviews, but I for one have had no problems since I moved here in April '06. At first the neighbors surround sound bothered me, but they moved out recently. I came here after living in a 250,000 house w/ my husband. I'm recently divorced & I wasn't expecting much here at Easgate Woods. (I've often heard it was a "rough" place to live.) Maybe I got placed in the 1 lucky building in the whole place''' I'm on the 3rd floor...never hear a peep from any of my neighbors, & if I called maintenance for anything (toilet problem once, lock change once) they were out the next day. Of course there have been times where I've heard arguing in the parking lots & such...but I've never worried for my own safety. (I have the means to protect myself if necessary...) I can't comment on the bad cable, b/c I do not purchase it. I don't know about the mold issue...I'm not sensitive to that. I don't have any children & do not use the pool or clubhouse. I am in what they consider the "mid-grade" of the apartments. $445 a month...I wish I could live in Lakepointe, but have found that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" I would recommend Eastgate Woods to friends, but would tell them to request to be in a building that doesn't get "frequented" by the police. Like I've said...my experience has been a good one. I sympathize w/ those of you who have had bad experiences...I'm sure it's hard to deal w/ those issues every day. Good luck to you all in the future!
