after reading some 37 comments on eastgate woods i felt it was my time to let you know the truth about eastgate woods apartments. this is the largest apt. community in clermont county there are 23 buildings and almost 1200 apartments here (including lakepoint) there are 3 occupied maintenance techs (the guys who fix stuff in your apt. while you live there) for 1200 units they are seriously understaffed. i have never had a problem having anything in my apt. repaired and are usually very prompt about getting things done. i have noticed things like the grounds not being up kept as well as previous years. as far as overall safety i am sure eastgate woods is on par with other apt communities of the same size and demographic. yes there are a lot of punk kids (20 somethings in there first apt.)who want to party all the time like they were living in a college dorm but for every punk kid (who usually get evicted there first 6 months) there are mature responsible adult renters. the office staff is helpful but sometimes seem arrogant. i have lived here for 5 years now and have had only minor problems with the place. i transfered to a 2 bedroom 3 years ago and was not charged for anything upon leaving my 1 bedroom. to all the commentors who say that eastgate woods "took" there deposit, well im guessing you probably trashed you're apartment.good luck and don't fear the "woods" there are much worse places out there

MY SON LOST HIS DEPOSIT BECAUSE THEY CLAIMED THAT HE HAD A PET THAT HE NEVER HAD. HIS APARTMENT WAS LEFT SPOTLESS. AGAIN, HE NEVER HAD A PET. THERE WAS A STAIN UNDER THE CARPET, PROBABLY FROM THE LAST TENANTS. HIS CAR WAS BROKEN INTO AND THERE WAS A LOT OF NEED FOR POLICE WHEN HE LIVED THERE. EASTGATE WOODS IS AN UNSAFE DUMP.

They actually tried this with me as well. They seem to be scamming people. They claimed their was a stain under my carpet.

They also claim my dog is always barking I DO NOT have a dog! We are a very mature young couple currently renting. The staff is rude! They will give you fines and notices when you call them about your "so called dog barking" when you dont have one they are RUDE They say they will investigate it and they do nothing!!!!

It seems tome if you think this place is so great why did you only rate it 2 out of 5. Doesn't seem like you seem to highly of it either. I have heard of them overcharging people who have lived there along time and giving beaks to the new people who move in. Also they are big fat liars. They have advertisements in the Renters Guide and say there apartments are alot cheaper than they are and that the book made a mistake yet it is in there every month at the same price for at least the last year. This is a scam and False Advetising.

My daughter just moved. She lived alone and is a boss at Mercy Hospital. You could eat off her floors she is so clean. Half her deposite was not returned because the "bathroom, kitchen and pantry floors had to be replaced" Right! They were in the same condition as a year ago. I am hoping she takes it to small claims. If you move be sure and have your apartment checked by them before you go or trust me you will NOT get your money back! Oh and they did not charge her when she moved from a two bedroom to a one bedroom either. In fact they often said she was an "ideal" tennant.

To all the people who responded to this post: THANK YOU! We have been disrespected, accused of having a pet on premesis that ISN'T and treated like felons just because they *suspected* a pet was in here..?!?! And then they entered my apartment building without any prior notice or concent, siting a "suprise visit" TOTALLY again the law!! Don't let them bully you into thinking they have the right to do these things. THEY DO NOT! Take pictures of your home before you leave the property to prove the condition it was in when you left. Cover you butt because ALL they are out for is money.

I agree with all of the angry tenants. Doing a walk through is pointless dont waste your time. They will clear everything, say you will get your deposit back, sign it, and a month later bill you. I would know. My advice save yourself. Take pictures of everything(wall, carpet, tile, appliances, ect.) when you move in and when you move out. Keep every paper they give you. If you discuss an issue verbally get their response in writing with a signature. They will deny what they say. The apartment itself isnt bad, but management is a whole other issue. If you move here protect yourself...be ready to fight back when you leave.
