My Little Slice of Hell

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
Could be worse, I suppose. At least that's what I continue to tell myself. The entry door is eternally propped open, allowing anybody access to what is supposed to be a controlled access building. The hallways smell like death, which is always a nice first impression for visitors that you might have. The laundry room contains 2 washers and 2 dryers for 12 apartment units which always makes laundry day a treat. Taking a shower feels like having a dog piss on your back as the water pressure in this apartment is laughable at best. It's really nice having to flush multiple times after having a movement as a result. A couple months of using the "galley" kitchen will drive you to eating out every night as preparing a meal isn't worth the headache. Listening to my neighbor's feral children run around above me 8 hours a day makes me wish I could work double shifts, because I'd rather not have to come back to this place. The manager here likes to talk out of both sides of her mouth and does whatever she can to avoid her job duties, and doesn't care what individual tenants do so long as the rent check is in the slot by the 5th of the month. Getting maintenance into your apartment typically takes weeks of waiting and multiple phone calls, but they fix problems eventually. Have fun getting out of the complex during evening rush hour, it takes a leap of faith to pull out onto Old 74 without getting t-boned and it's not uncommon to wait up to 5 minutes just to have the chance. In conclusion, do yourself a favor and find someplace else...
