Nice central location. Maintenance leave little to be desired. They spend lots of $$ on pools, work out center, but the infrastucture of the 40 year old buildings are crumbling. Leaky AC units, roof leak, windows leak, dishwasher is lowest end model and need TLC to work. The walls are paper thin. Lighting is constantly out in the stairwells. Highly outdated bathrooms and appliances. Maintenance requests are a joke between Sandy and the maint. staff - expect 5 day turnaround for simple tasks. Also, take a garage spot, since they do not shovel sidewalks or plow driveway in the winter.

You've obviously had a bad experience. I've lived at the Hamptons for 5 years and although I have noticed a change in the overall quality, maintenance requests that I've made have been turned around within a day. You are right about the sidewalks and driveway. I've never understood why they don't do more with them. If anyone were to fall, they would definitely be liable. I'm not sure if the walls are paper thin or if it's just more lould and inconsiderate people that are moving in. When I first moved in, it was very quiet and peaceful. Now the tenants (and there has been some turnover) seem to be louder and less considerate of their neighbors.
