Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2007
Lived here for 4 years and I'm only moving out because I'm graduating. 2 bedroom/2.5 bath townhouse facing the 13th green. Best place that I've lived, but not perfect. I'll break it into pros and cons:
Pros:
- The Staff is great and very accomodating. I don't know any of them personally, but when I go in every single one of them knows me by name and knows what's going on with my apartment, if I'm having any issues, my dog's name...it's incredible. Also, they look out for you. I had forgotten to pay my rent one month and they give you a 5 day grace. When that 5th day came, I got a reminder on my door gently reminding me that I had until midnight or I'd be penalized, rather than just screwing me over and letting me pay late so they make more money.
- The grounds are very well kept, which is always a good sign that maintenance will be on top of your requests, which they always were. You also get a free carpet cleaning every year.
- The apartment themselves are very high quality. Kitchen cabinets all great wood finish, brand new looking Whirlpool appliances, and the convenience of having the W/D in the unit cannot be underestimated.
- Very convenient location, just a 5-7 minute drive to the Fairfield Mall area which has tons of shopping, restaurants, banks, theater, you name it. Also the same distance to Wright State University. And just a few minutes to hop on the interstate.
- I never once had a security issue. I felt safe the entire time.
The Cons:
- The spiders are not "HUGE" and don't overrun the place, but they are there on occasion. I'd say during the Fall months, when they try to sneak indoors to get out of the cold, I'd kill maybe one or two a week. Not terrible. But if you're terrified of spiders, might be an issue. It was never a problem enough that I felt I had to call maintenance.
- The walls are slightly thin. If you have noisy neighbors it could be bothersome, which is probably my biggest complaint since mine liked to have sex right on the wall we shared.
- It is next to 675, but if the windows are open, from my apartment it is barely noticable. A distant hum if anything. Never a problem for me.
Not sure what it would cost to live as a single in one of these apartments, but living in the two story Townhouse, over 1000 sq ft, splitting the rent and bills, it was extremely affordable. Hope you choose this place. I've loved it. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb
