I moved in to Parkwood Village apartments very excited about my new place, there is lots of room in these apartments ,the floor plan was perfect and I thought the price was fair. ( I had a 2 bedroom 2 bath for $665.00 per month) Not to mention the location was great! Sadly enough, within the first month I was very regretful of my decision. I shortly found out that the management and maintenance staff was very unprofessional and rude. I had several problems with my apartment from water leaking through the walls and ceiling which caused a huge mold problem for which I was told to pour bleach on it and they would get around to fixing it. How safe for my 8 year old child! Not to mention the horrible smell from the mold and wet walls I finally had to hire an attorney to get it fixed properly. To a washer that leaked and took almost TWO WEEKS to fix. So I couldn't use it! Lets not forget to mention the time I came home after 3 months to a garage that wouldn t open ( you pay extra for a garage) and to my surprise when it was open by another resident all my stuff was gone!! The explanation given was I had no right to that garage although I signed a garage addendum and had my receipt for the garage deposit and had been paying an extra fee for since I had moved in. Long story short it took days to fix the problem and recover my stuff. All the while I could not park in a garage I paid for and had no clue where all my things were. I was treated so poorly during all of this, like how dare I want to use the garage you pay for!! The straw that broke the camels back before I moved out 2 months early was when my gas had been turned off due to gas company error over Memorial Day weekend and the gas company came out ASAP to fix it but didn t arrive until after hours to relight the pilot light in the furnace ( which by the way is NOT in the apartment) and the maintenance man REFUSED TO LET HIM IN because it was after hours. So much for the emergence maintenance clause in your lease. So needless to say I had to schedule an appointment for the gas company to come back out during business hours which wasn't until a WEEK AND A HALF later. The maintenance man was COMPLETELY aware that I would have to wait without gas( so no hot water for me and my son) for all this time and still refused. These people are awful and rude to deal with from the apartment manager all the way up to the people at Gross builders! After that I packed my stuff and broke my lease. Don t move here, there are nice ones down the street!

So where did you move that's better than Parkwood Village? I was seriously considering living there until I read this review. Thanks for the warning!

fyi the ones down the street are much worse, if you are talking about the one's behind the post office! We had a gas leak and redtags 3 times in our apartment and the 3rd time our family was very ill. We LOVE it here and we have had no problems and the maintence and staff are very nice. it is beautiful here.
