I moved here in August of 2006 planning on making a life for myself until I have a family and move into a house. That has now been changed recently with the new management at Preston Pointe. Some time ago last fall yes there was a domestic incident that included the police killing a man after he attempted to kill his own wife. I was ready to jump ship then, but then I started to get to know the management here at the time (Beth, Kathy & Charity), this staff handled the situation as best as possible, comforting people when necessary, making sure the media was under controll (unlike some people that would just LOVE to have negative media attention). Then all of a sudden the manager gets released due to "being too friendly with residents" which makes absolutely no sense at all. After that mis treatment the other two also left and went on their own ways.

Sense then NRP has brought in the rudest, most difficult and complicated people I've seen in my life. First of all they now shut down everything in the clubhouse at 6pm when THEY leave for the day because they can't control all of the damn kids around here and are too afraid to step up to the parents about the situation with vandalism. Given parents should know how to watch their kids, but the previous management team could take care of the situations accordingly.

There was a recent incident that occurred in which a girl nearly drowned by the pond at the entry. Granted her parents should of been there watching, but it was also in plain view of the rental office to see and they did nothing about it. The previous management would NEVER and I mean NEVER let ANY kids go around any of the ponds or even the pool without parental supervision and we never would have had another "media day" on how management can't take care of things around here.

This is a great community when the right people are running the show, and until management changes, don't expect it, Preston Pointe has now gone to hell and is not coming back.

Also on another note, when I moved in rent was 499 for a 1br, it's now $599, which again is way over priced, and shows again that the new management is all about making the money instead of making their tenants happy and appreciative of what they can do for them.
