One of the worse apartments I've lived in. The main problem is insects -- they literally come up through the carpet, likely reflecting poor construction. The management is thoroughly uninterested in helping alleviate the problem, and refuse to hire professionals to eliminate the pests. In discussing the other tenants, we were hardly alone -- spiders, worms, roly-poly's, and ants were all seen in multiple other dwellings, with levels that approached an infestation. We moved out because of the insects, and I'm investigating whether there are health violations related to this.

This is true. The host of insects living in my apartment are a nightmare. The office staff even had the nerve to ask me to move when I demanded they do something about the little pest.
