I have lived at 4th and Plum for two years and have rarely had a problem. I live in the A building and my apartment is huge and well worth the money I pay. For covered, secure parking you cannot beat the price downtown. In my apartment, I rarely hear my neighbors, except on super bowl sunday when they have a football game in the huge hallway during halftime.
Parking can be difficulty but I have never had to park on the street, no matter what time I have returned home. The only nicks and dings on my car are ones that I put there myself.
I do hate the limited amount of washers and dryers but at least I am doing laundry in my own building. I also don't like the false fire alarms, but standing in the rain with your neighbors at 2AM is a nice way to get to know them! lol
I have not found the office staff to be exceptionally friendly, although Karen is sweet, but they are polite and have always been helpful to me.
To sum it up, my apartment at 4th and Plum is a dream! I will live here for the rest of my life if I can. I am not a teenager so I am not looking for "cool" people to hang with, I am a professional person who is looking for a "cool" place to live and this is it!! If you're looking for a dorm, go elsewhere. If you're wanting to live among grownups, this could be your place.
I do agree, though, check out the apartment you intend to rent. They are different; some radically different than others, some only slightly but different. I fell in love with mine the minute I saw it. I know there is one apartment, I think in Building B, that used to the safe of a bank building so there is some interesting stuff here.
I love it!! There is no place in Cinti I would rather live!!
