I lived in this complex for a year and a half, and overall, I really enjoyed the complex. I loved the interior of the townhome style (rooftop views), wish the industrial styling and pipework showing. It was also a great area for walking to many cultural events, restaurants, clubs, etc.

I will say though, the staff was always very rude. Always. They were never helpful, but luckily I never really needed any major work done, so I didn't have to deal with them. They also had a tendency to jack up the rent by large amounts, and with no justification.

Thank you for your input. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at the 4th & Plum Lofts. We have undergone ownership and management changes as of September 2007 so I hope you will have a better review to write about the staff next time. I hope you like all of the wonderful changes and updates we are doing to the community also. Please come down to the office and let us know what you think. Thanks for the input!

Oh, and how could I forget the New Management's finest hour: screwing up everyone's electronic rent deductions, resulting in bounced checks, overdraft fees and extreme embarrassment for all concerned while it took almost a week for residents to get their money back. Mistakes happen, but the management's response was totally inadequate. Instead of the profuse apologies and assurances that all money would be returned IMMEDIATELY, they were tripping over themselves to blame the payment handling company (as if anyone cares whose fault it is when they're hundreds of dollars in the red - they just want someone competent to take ownership of the problem!), all the while avoiding all phone calls (as usual) and otherwise doing their best to avoid having to come into contact with any disgruntled residents. There can't be a single resident in the place that would recommend it after that fiasco.
