Well, I at first thought when Connor Group took down their ridiculous signage that arrogantly proclaimed Arbors to be rated #1 that maybe they were getting a clue that this place sucks. Incidentally, they also have an identical sign up at Orchard of Landen, another property they own...talk about false advertising.
This place is worse than ever. The construction that a previous reviewer talked about IS going on, and while I will admit that the parking lots look pretty nice, they're about the only thing Arbors has going. The buildings are shoddy and falling down with half finished wood replacement that has taken MONTHS to do. There are pieces of wood falling off the building at any given time, so if I hear a random crash now at night, I can wonder, well, is it a burglar trying to break into this pit or is it another piece of the building trying to make a quick getaway' Usually it's just the building.
It's true about the police always being here. I have had to call the police about my neighbours a lot. My newest neighbours WERE screaming and banging on the walls constantly, something that got better after I called the police on them, but when I did that, they apparently acted like they had been asleep, then retaliated and called the office staff, trying to get ME in trouble. Management called ME and instead of taking care of the issues with the noise my neighbours had been making, as I had been BEGGING for them to do, they chastised me for calling the police and told me not to do that again, that it made the apartments look bad. That's only one of my charming new neighbours. Oh, the banging has stopped. I still do hear the occasional scream. Pure entertainment, this place.
The other new neighbour is one who apparently is entirely unwilling to grasp the concept of taking their dog out, so they let the dog out onto their concrete patio (first floor) and the dog sh!ts all over the concrete. They don't clean the ---- up for days. So there's piles of exposed ---- everywhere on the concrete, where everyone walking past on the sidewalk to get home can see and smell. Lovely. I have complained about this, and nothing is being done to resolve it. There is a policy about cleaning up after your pets, but I guess that doesn't apply to this tenant.
Finally, and maybe this is because of the ---- neighbour, but my longtime downstairs neighbour has taken to smoking inside, and while this IS permitted at Arbors (and the problem that has developed isn't her fault, it's Connor Groups) it's created a problem that is affecting me that management won't fix. I now have cigarette smoke pouring into MY apartment from the apartment downstairs through open spaces in the walls and insulation. Yes, the buildings here are ----. I not only don't smoke, I have asthma, so this is life threatening to me. I really couldn't care less if someone smokes, so long as it isn't coming into MY HOME FROM THEIRS! Of course, this being Arbors, the name of the game is deny, deny, deny. First it couldn't possibly be happening, then they "were hoping it would just go away." I finally got them to do one thing to try to fix the problem, and now it is back, of course, because my neighbour isn't going to just stop smoking - and she shouldn't have to. These -------s should just either fix the apartment issues so I won't DIE or end up with PERMANENT DAMAGE or let me out of my lease.
Oh, but people, the point is...if you have issues here...don't expect them to be fixed. And if you have a life threatening issue like mine and need out of your lease' Don't expect that either. I seriously suspect that Connor Group would rather have people die here than let someone out. I have explained my medical condition and have provided verification, and still no go. This place is awful. STAY AWAY!!! Tell everyone you know to stay away! uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax
