Not a bad place to live. Overpriced, sure, but you know that when you sign the lease. As someone else mentioned, when your initial lease expires your rent will increase dramatically - mine went up 5%!
Parking is a bit of a mess. Every night there are cars parked in fire lanes, handicap spaces, etc. I belive a Cincinnati police officer lives here yet I've never seen a car ticketed for speeding or being parked illegally. If I were able I could write at least six of these citations a day!
Thin walls and poorly hung windows and doors seem a common complaint. Maintenance requests have been fulfilled promptly (even if they couldn't match the beige paint in my apartment for whatever reason).
The girls in the front office seem nice enough to your face but I wouldn't have a hard time imagining them talking about people behind their backs. There has been more than one occasion when I've called the office during business hours and nobody answered. There are at least three people working - somebody should always be there IMO.
Utility bills seem high. All electric apartments. Water bills are outrageous - each apartment is not individually metered so the company (I believe it's in Florida) takes the water usage for the entire complex and divides it by the number of occupied apartments. Totally unfare for those units occupied by one individual because they theoretically use half as much water yet are charged the same amount as those units occupied by more than one person.
Moving is a PITA but when my lease expires soon I'll be looking to live elsewhere.
