I'm satisfied.

I have enjoyed my past year here. I have a very large dog and finding a place that allows large dogs (and is not a hell hole) is nearly impossible. Right now my first year lease is almost up and I am looking for a place that is cheaper, but I will probably stay because nothing in the area compares. So, the expense is worth the comfort and quality.

Noise: I occasionally hear the woman above me walking but this is very minor and nothing to complain about!

Parking: Parking isn't assigned, but I've never had a problem and neither have my friends who come to visit.

Maintenance: I did have to have my dishwasher looked at once because it wasn't draining properly. The maintenance guys showed up that day, snaked the drains and I haven't had any problems since. Also, the maintenance staff are all very friendly and very respectful of my dog. If they have to schedule maintenance like changing furnace filters, they are more than willing to work with me and schedule my apartment separately so I can be here when they enter.

Location: I wish that there were restaurants or bars within walking distance, but Oakley square and Hyde Park square are just a few minutes drive away. I commute to UC everyday which is farther than most of my coworkers, but I don't mind the drive. If I avoid five o'clock traffic, it only takes 15 minutes.

Safety: Yes the gates are often broken, but I am one who believes it is ridiculous and naive to believe a gate increases safety. I have never felt uncomfortable getting out of my car or entering my apartment. I have not heard of or seen any vandalism that was mentioned by one review. True, Madisonville is not the greatest neighborhood in Cincinnati and there are occasional robberies at the businesses on Red Bank, but none of this has ever made me feel unsafe.

Overall, I would recommend this complex.
