This place literally made us sick!

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
We were very excited to move into this apartment while we looked for a house, but the week we moved in my husband and I both developed horrible sinus infections and a week later our child developed really bad allergies that sent her to the doctor numerous times. We are all still suffering with the worst allergies - all 3 of us didn't have allergies before we moved in! The apartment constantly has a damp feeling and never gets good enough circulation - it smells musty all the time, and it feels like we're breathing in mold and dust even though we clean weekly and vacuum twice a week. We have a dehumidifier going all the time, taking gallons of water out of the air every day. We contacted management about this and they said they couldn't locate any source of smell but continue to run the dehumidfier (which we had to go purchase) I'm pretty sure there is no moisture barrier between the concrete sub floor and the carpet, providing a wonderful breeding ground for mold and bacteria. Overall, this place is really poorly built and we cannot wait to get out of here so we can all get healthy again!
