I have lived in Century Lake for one year. I am not renewing my lease, but that is related more to the location than the apartments themselves.
I have never had any trouble with the management/maintenance staff. The girls in the office have always been very friendly and helpful. Also, whenever I have had a maintenance issue (about 4-5 over the year) it has been fixed within a day or two of reporting it. The staff also arranges monthly happy hours and provides breakfast in the clubhouse every few weeks.
The grounds and amenities are okay. People do not clean up after their dogs. The workout area is a bit small. The pool is nice though and kept pretty clean.
I have always felt safe in the area. The hallways are well-lit and there are motion sensitive lights behind the buildings.
Overall, the apartments are fairly nice and quite livable. The walls are a little thin and I can often hear my neighbors (they have two very noisy teenagers). However, most tenants seem pretty quiet and respectful of others.
I do feel that the apartments are a little expensive and that comparable apartments can be found for less.
