You would not believe what has happened to me at Clifton Colony! I was forced to move in basically because the rental manager just kept calling me and pressuring me. Then I didn't even get the apartment I saw. She told me that I couldn't see the exact unit but she will fix it up real nice for me... Well I moved in and yeah the kitchen is remodeled but the rest of the apartment is old. The bathroom is dark and scary and out of date. Since I wasn't happy with my apartment she told me there was nothing I could do since I have already signed a lease. Where did this 30 day thing go' Then, I asked about changing to another CMC complex and she told me that I won't find the deal like I have now and the apartments won't be as updated as the one I have now. I was also told that I would have to pay my free month back... I don't understand this... this is like a horrible game and I'm losing. I can't wait till my year is up and I'm out of this "COLONY" or aka hole!

I'm Sue, the manager, and I have no idea who I could have treated so poorly! We don't force people to move in and certainly do have a 30 day guarantee for anyone that is not satisfied. So let's talk and see if this applies to you. Our mission is to simplify lives, not to play games with anyone. Sincerely, Sue

the office staff were nothing but helpful to me and extremely accommodating.

Why would you have signed a lease just because you felt pressured by the manager? I looked at Clifton Colony and thought the complex was nice. I didn't move there partially because I felt that the sales staff was too pushy, but all I had to do was tell them that I had found another complex and wasn't interested. They thanked me for looking and never called me again. Maybe you should have tried that. As far as the bathroom is concerned, those units were probably built in the 70s when dark was in. You can't seriously expect that "fix it up real nice" means that everything will be brand new. Next time, don't sign a lease without seeing the actual unit you will be living in and if you are told that it will be fixed up, find out exactly what that means. Would you buy a car without driving it first just because the salesman told you to?
