There are a few positive aspects of living at the Colony of Springdale. The rent was fairly reasonable for the location and management was friendly. Parking is adequate. The deck on the first floor is nice. Maintenance addressed things that needed fixed around the apartment complex.

There are several problems with the Colony of Springdale:

The construction of the buildings is old. Sometimes, I felt like when I was going into my apartment, I was entering a dungeon because of the layout allows little light inside the apartment.

The noise is extremely loud from both residents and nearby manufacturing plant. Many nights, I had to contact the Springdale police and Colony of Springdale security just to get the loud music to stop in the early hours of the morning, however, it stopped for about ten minutes than started back up again. I contacted management first, however, management did nothing to respond to the problem.

There is no intrusion alarm. My apartment was broken into and thousands of dollars worth of my belongings was stolen. I did not know until I did some research that the very same apartment that I lived in had been broken into before I rented the apartment three different times. I was unaware of the number of times Springdale Police was called out to the Colony of Springdale until a Springdale Detective told me when he was dusting for fingerprints in my apartment.

Then, one morning I woke up to find the nearby manufacturing building's wall was covered in graffiti. The next night, my car was broke into and everything of value was stolen. Again, I notified management of the breaking and entering and grand larceny, they did nothing.

I anxiously awaited my lease to expire and immediately moved out. To put the icing on the cake, they sent me a check for $19.00 of the $200.00 security deposit two weeks after I moved out. If you are thinking about moving into the Colony of Springdale, "PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION".
