Awful

I lived here for one year. Management was shady from the get go, "accidentally," increasing my monthly rent by $20, fixing it after I showed them the leasing agreement.

Before I moved in, they told me the carports were rented on a month-to-month basis and could be used just for the winter months and discontinued afterwards. So I rented one during the winter, but when I wanted to stop renting it, they told me it was now part of my lease and I would have to pay for it whether I used it or not until my lease expired. When I signed up for it, I just signed for it and naively didn't think the terms would be different from what they told me.

When I moved out, it took them an entire 2 months to receive my security deposit, only after -4- phone calls, each time giving them my new address, DESPITE the fact that I filled out a change of address form before I even moved out. The 4th time, when they told me I had never given them my new address, I got fed up and told them I'd be contacting the attorney general's office BY LAW I was supposed to have received it within 30 days of moving out. I received my deposit promptly within the next week.

The apartment itself wasn't bad. It was definitely old. The appliances were very old and outdated. The fridge was small. The worst part was the kitchen and bathroom floor...it was made of some plastic that always had a semi-sticky feel no matter how much I cleaned it. Also, the insulation was TERRIBLE. It was always ridiculously hot in the summer despite the air conditioning, and in the winter, the heater was ALWAYS ON! My heating bills were very high, around $130 for a <700 ft 1 bedroom apartment.

As for the neighbors, most were nice people, but there were many nights when they would just be drinking and partying in the middle of the night on their patios, even on weekdays. I had to call the police once because of it.

The manager, -----, is a giggling fool, all smiles and laughs until the moment you sign the agreement. Then she turns into a hostile and manipulative, disagreeable snake.
