My rent was paid on the 2nd since I was out of town unexpectedly for a funeral on the 1st. I was charged a $75 late fee. Even after I informed them of the reason and how being a single mom, I would not be able to buy groceries this month because of the late fee, they were very uncaring and made me feel like a nuisance. I had always paid on time, am a very good tenant and have never been one to complain.
I'm also very upset at the "Water" bill that is paid through Heartland Regional Power. Check out their website - they aren't a power company, but a glorified collections agency. The water bill throughout the entire community is split up equally. So when we cut back on water usage, our bill was still $40.00 a month when it should have been $15.
The Conner Group and its employees care only about the bottom line. Their tenants are not counted as people but as money and office staff need to work on their people skills. I was so looking forward to starting my new life in Cincinnati. Now I'm just disappointed while my son and I live on canned goods in order to pay the unfair late fee. I will not be renewing my lease nor referring anyone to this shoddy complex.
