Couldn't Pay Me To Live Here

I set up an appt to look at these apartments about a week ago for 4:15pm today. I was super excited because of everything they offered and couldn't wait to get up there. When I got up there the location was great and the apartments looked great on the outside. I got out of the truck at the office and there were 2 piles of dog crap right outside the door. I get inside and tell them I had an appt and another lady comes out and asks if she can help me. I told her I had an appt and they had no record that I had one, but acted like out of their own personal generosity they would show me one anyway (I live 2 hours away). I had to give my ID just to be able to see the crappy place. She asked what I was looking for and I mentioned the specials (which of course they didn't have), asked if anyone was influencing my decision, asked why I needed 2 bedrooms if it was just me going to live there, etc. Pretty much asked everything but my blood type...made me feel like she was going to search the truck looking for drugs because that's how they treated me. (like I wasn't good enough to live there). So she takes me to a 1-bedroom "bungalow." There's a "patio" outside, which consists of about a 3ft/5ft slab of concrete with a fence around it. The place was horrible. The bathtub was dirty, the kitchen wasn't big enough for 2 people to stand in, the cabinets and appliances were something from the 1930s. It was ridiculous. I couldn't believe that they could charge $600 a month for this crap and tell me they're going to go quick. Plus they stress the 50 dollar application fee, and the fact that they do a background AND credit check. Guess you have to be at their "standards". No thanks, I'll go somewhere else.

What do you expect, it is a Connor Group property after all.

SAME thing happened to me! Only when I told them I had found a place nicer and cheaper they lowered it to $570. I told them my ideal price range was under $600 so they offered $599..BIG HELP. NOT! I felt like I was trying to buy a used car the way the management acted. They acted like they were doing me some huge favor, that their crappy apartments were going fast. They MADE me schedule an appointment with them before I left to come back because they "knew I'd be back." I never went back, so they call me every day, and have recently started using a restricted number so I will pick up. HORRIBLE PLACE!
