Grandin club is the perfect place to live for a college student. People love to party at all hours of the day. I lived there for two years and had some good and bad experiences. First of all for the price you pay to live in Mt. Lookout it is a real bargain. But towards the end of my stay at the Club I ran into some major problems. For one, I lived in a bottom apartment and on the outside foundation had a two inch crack in the corner in which you could see daylight from inside the apartment. That being said the crack in the foundation led to snakes, a rat and ants. I found a rat that ended up living in the apartment for about a week, we reported it to the "landlords" and didn't do anything about it. Finally after we visually spotted it, we left the apartment. The rat was cought and was left in the apartment dead for two days before the "landlordS" notified us but still didn't remove the dead rat. The "landlords" are incompetent and should not be running this complex.

I would like to say that the review is partially correct. It is a great place to live, affordable, and college students do live there. On the other hand there is NOT parties all hours of the day, the property is well maintained by cleaning crews, groundskeepers, maintanence, management and landlords. The anonymous tenant above who wrote the review told you lies and deceitful things things he did not even have the courage to put his name to. First there was a rat, when the management was "finally" notified that the tenants suspected a problem it was taken care of in a timely manner. He also did not tell you how he told management to leave the rat so he could see it and to leave his apartment. The tenants did not mention how they harrassed the management and how they kept them from properly taking care of the whole situation. The fact is that they had intended on moving and was trying to find all excuses to get out of paying rent. As for the crack in the foundation that has been taken care. Again lies on the tenants review there was not snakes or ants. This anonymous tenant likes to stretch the truth once more. My question is he said he lived there for two years but all of a sudden wants to bad mouth now. I just think he is upset he did not get what he wanted. A FREE RIDE! The apartments are clean, taken well care of, the pool is always beautifully blue, and the grounds are always clean. The landlords take care of situations effectively and as for the management you wouldn't want a better team taken care of you. It's home!

Goodness, the first review I read seemed spitefull and hatefull. I have lived at the Grandin Club for several years. I am a professional person. Yes, there are some college students, there are several professionals living at the complex as well. I suppose there are some parites. I don't know of any that got out of hand because of the professional management. Most of the college students that I have met conduct themselves in a mature manner. There have been a few tenants that lean towards beaking complex rules and the manager handles this in a professional manner. I have not witnessed nor experienced difficulties with maintenance. The grounds are well kept. The rent is reasonable - the apartments are roomy. I feel perhaps the anonymous person sending the first email may have exagerated or had a secondary motive in sending such an angry and hostile rating. While my email rating may seem to be on the defensive, it is for sure and for certain that I feel at home at the Grandin Club Apartments and feel annoyed at the unjust anonymous rating. Sincerely, -----

Don't believe the 2 responses above if you are thinking of moving into this apartment complex. The above about a Rat-12" long from head to tail,2 snakes and a million ants is true. I lived in the apartment where this took place. Whoever ABRATJENNIFER is must work for this complex and is just trying to defend the incompetence of management. As for the second email, whoever ----- is, she is probably doing the same thing. I can write a detailed letter about what I experienced while living at this complex and so can my friends that lived in other apartments at Grandin Glub too but I am not going to waste my time, I could go on an on about this. I am just trying to help anyone that is thinking of moving into this complex not to do so.
The quote "the pool is always beautifully blue, and the grounds are always clean" is hilarious! There are lizards and insects all over that pool. Also the quote "The landlords take care of situations effectively and as for the management you wouldn't want a better team taken care of you. It's home!"-is another funny one. One more funny thing,no one threatened management as ABRATJENNIFER says above. Also, everything else she says is just a personal attack and lies about myself and my former room mate. I am just stating the facts. If you found the above listed disease spreading rodents in a place you paid for would you be a little angry as well, who wouldn't?
If you are thinking of moving to this area, I would move into Grandin Bridge on Delta or other apartments down by the square. It may cost a little more but it is totally worth it than dealing with incompetent management.
One more thing, if you do make the wrong decision and move into this complex, watch where you step and don't plan on leaving this complex if it snows more than an inch. They do not treat the parking lot the way it should be treated so plan on being there for a couple of days until the snow melts

Pool is always to cold to swim in, I lived on third floor and still had massive amounts of ants roaming my apt. Grounds are maintained but not to any high standard, there is a huge mix of people, college to 80 y/o, KRohan said it right, if it is snowing plan on hanging out in the apt for awhile, i liked how roomy the apts. were but the foundation is twisting and warping, in 1 year the drywall in my apt was cracking horribly bad, probably b/c they paint over the cracks rather than fix the problem Nice place for the price but be warned, it is worst than first look, after seeing the apt and surrounding area first time I loved it but between the bees everywhere, ants and lazy maintenance you aren't getting the great bargain you may think you were upon first glance
