I lived at Grandin House too, and this desciption is pretty accurate. Although I only had positive experiences with the maintenance staff, the management is probably the worst I've ever seen. The manager's name is Jane and she's just a really nasty person. She talks down to residents and acts as if she's doing you a favor to allow you to live there. I also tried to provide feedback to the owner, but was told that "he lives in California and doesn't accept phone calls from residents."
There are lots of pets in the building...in fact, it's like a zoo at times with all the barking and dog crap everywhere. Most of the residents are transient students or seniors who've been there forever.
The place offers a gym, but it's literally only one properly working treadmill. They have a lot of equipment in there, but I think it's all for show, because nothing else works.
Save yourself the money and time. There are tons of other apartments on Madison Rd with a better price and friendlier, more responsive management. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

Very accurate statement. I lived there too and felt that the management alone was enough to move out (especially Jane Keen). I've lived in about 5-6 apartment complexes since college and this is absolutely the worst.
