I have lived at Hyde Park Commons for the past two years. The property was first owned by Towne Properties and then switched over to CMC Properties about halfway through my occupancy(early 2008). CMC has done a good job at providing residents with affordable and well-kept apartments. Most of the apartments are rennovated and even though mine was not, I only had to call maintenance maybe two or three times during my occupancy. Maintenance was quick to respond and fixed the problem the first time. My neighbors have been quiet and I have never had a problem with noise from my immediate neighbors or from anyone in the complex. These apartments are a great place to look for your "first apartment" as they are affordable and the location is perfect if you enjoy the Hyde Park/Oakley area. CMC has started to put some work into the landscaping and I am sure that more focus will be put into the exterior once the weather starts to get warm. Overall, I am very pleased with my time spent at this property and would recommend this property to those who are looking for an affordable space in a great location.
