Overpriced, and underimpressed

I've lived here for just over 3 months, and haven't been very impressed. The car ports probably haven't been maintained since they were first put up, and consequently are rotting and leaning. Our hot water heater is several units away, so it takes several minutes to get any hot water (like 5 in winter when the water must travel through underground pipes). The windows leak air. There is an enormous hole with a grate over it leading to the outside near the furnace area. No screen, so bugs come in like crazy...along with outside air. Maintenance says this is supposed to be this way. The unit we're in was 'recently renovated', but it is the sloppiest renovation job I've ever seen. Carpets that aren't properly fitted to the wall, gaping seems, etc. I was told before moving in that the maintenance for my garden would be done by the staff, and now they tell me I have to do it...not just keep up the landscaping, but if I want anything but the weeds and mud I have currently, I have to put it in. I'm paying $1400 a month for this'''' It is quiet, the space inside the unit is good, and I feel very safe here. It is just overpriced for the quality.
